Aliatrix artists entertained visitors of the Beats for Love festival
Beats for Love is the largest electronic music festival in Central Europe. It is traditionally held in Ostrava in the industrial area of Dolní Vítkovice, whose beautiful architecture enhances the atmosphere of the festival. The 11th year took place on 2-5 July 2025, for which we supplied the accompanying artistic program.
Program creation - themed walking acts
During the Beats for Love festival, the area is divided into several zones, which differ not only in the style of music you can listen to, but also in the overall decoration and mood of the visuals.
In the Space Sphere, you'll find a quieter zone where an art installation of giant glowing planets creates a space-like landscape. The Industrial Sphere is located right in the heart of raw metal pillars of abandoned factory buildings illuminated with red light. Near the main stage we find the Love Sphere with its delicate decorations in the form of pink trees.
By choosing walking acts, we wanted to reflect this diversity and deliver a program that fits into each section as neatly as possible. Our sales representative, Alžběta, guided the organisers through our range of shows and accompanying program and together they selected fire walking acts, light walking acts and unique floral costumes.
Dream team
On D-day, 11 members of the Aliatrix team - 5 fire artists, 2 light artists, 2 flower ladies - headed towards Ostrava. The team included a show manager and a technician to take care of production and organizational matters and practical parts of the preparations.
For each event we supply not only the artistic program itself. The show manager will make sure the show runs smoothly so you can get on with other duties. He or she will keep track of entry times, handle security details, be your planning partner and a communication intermediary between you and the artists, and also make sure the team is in a good mood and at ease.
There was certainly no shortage of that throughout the festival. Even though the individual walking acts were physically demanding due to the heat, we had a great time and we experienced many funny stories. Like when Bára accidentally bought a spray with sticky spider webs instead of red hair spray, because at first glance it looks identical and it was on the same shelf in the store. You can probably imagine the scene that followed was like from a movie comedy.
Experiences like that bring the performers even closer together and charge them with energy, which they then pass on to you during their performance.
Fiery Savages at Industrial Sphere
After dark, the Industrial Sphere was lit up by the flames of fire performers in shamanic tribal costumes. They entertained people in the designated area by improvising with fire equipment to the rhythm of the music. Their wild energy enhanced the atmosphere at the stage and attracted many spectators, some of whom could not take their eyes off them for the entire 20 minutes. The 4 sets of 20 minutes were repeated every night for all 4 days of the festival.
Here we have to highlight the professionalism of the production team and security who always carefully ensured a safe space around the artists and helped them to move through the venue. For a festival with such a large number of visitors (over 160,000 this year!), the concern for security is crucial and the B4L team managed it to perfection.
Thank you, guys! We couldn't have done it without you.
Curious Aliens discovered the Space Sphere
The Space Sphere has welcomed luminous alien visitors. Two performers in Alien costumes walked among people, interacted with them and performed tricks with LED equipment, including a display of the Space Sphere logo. Our Alien characters are playful and whimsical. They enjoy exploring their environments as if they were on Earth for the first time and getting to know Earthlings through gestures, inquisitive expressions and light equipment, which is their language for communication.
They fit the space theme perfectly. Passersby were happy to stop, take photos, film them and laugh with them.
Love Sphere and VIP in bloom
The pink corner right next to the main stage was enhanced by two artists in Flower costumes. They were an elegant live decoration of this zone and were a great success with the visitors.
After dark, the magic of the flowers transformed and lit up with colourful lights. The Flowers are backlit and matched the lighting effects and projections of the main stage perfectly. The glowing Flowers also visited the two VIP areas where they handed out roses. They delighted all the ladies present and brought smiles to quite a few gentlemen as well.
And after the duties are over, let's have fun
We had the opportunity to enjoy the festival not only as performers. After the last walking act, the artists could enjoy the music as visitors as well and soak up the atmosphere of the festival to the fullest. We changed out of our costumes and set out to explore the venue. We really enjoyed it - even those of us who are not fans of electronic music. We were most impressed by the projections and effects around the main stage, which were polished to the last detail. Creating visual shows is our job and hobby and this production was a feast for the eyes.
Beats for Love was a great experience for us and one that we will be talking about for a long time to come. We are already looking forward to next year's event and hope to see you there!
